Dr. Rukmini Banerjee, senior member of the Pratham team, shared experiences about Read India and ASER at an international forum organized by the Fast Track Initiative on April 20 and 21. The initiative is a consortium of 18 big donors including the World Bank, DFID, Govt of Netherlands, and many others. The audience and panelists also included international NGOs and government representatives of many African countries. Dr. Banerjee spoke about the ASER process and how it is now a key influencing factor in the national and state level education policy making process. She also spoke about the genesis of Read India and shared our experiences of the campaign.
