These are Pratham's visionaries, dedicated towards providing quality education to India's children and youth. Together they engage with governments, business houses, other civil organizations to push Pratham's mandate and to create positive change in our education policies. They are the pillars of Pratham.
Rukmini Banerji is the Chief Executive Officer of Pratham Education Foundation. Until recently, she was responsible for Pratham's programs and activities in several major states like Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, and was also the Director of ASER Centre (the research and assessment unit of Pratham).
Dr.MadhavChavan is the Full-time Member of the Board of Directors in charge of vocational training and digital learning innovations in Pratham, one of the largest non-government organizationin India addressing the needs of millions of children each year through quality education and policy change.
Ms.Farida Lambay is co-Founder of Pratham. She has over 25 years of experience as an education and social activist. She presently heads the Pratham Council for Vulnerable Children and has led Pratham's work in the area of child labour and "child at risk," in various states over the years. In addition to her work at Pratham, she is former Vice Principal of the Nirmala Niketan College of Social Work in Mumbai.
Ms.Usha Rane has been one of the leaders of the teaching-learning innovations at Pratham. Prior to joining Pratham, she worked with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. In 2002, she authored the "Maharashtra State Human Development Report", which focused on the issue of the social development in the state. Mobilising communities and catalyzing schools to deliver basic learning on a mass-scale has been one of her primary interests.
Anamara Baig is the Lead - Donor Management. She holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science and Psychology from Mumbai University and a Masters degree in International Relations from the University of Kent, Belgium. She has been working at Pratham since 2008.
Balvinder Singh heads the Finance and Accounting team at Pratham. A graduate from Delhi University, he pursued anMasters in Business Administration in Finance from Punjab University. He has over 12 years of experience in accounting, administrative & logistics in corporate & non-profit organizations.
Devyani Pershad leads Program Management at Pratham Education Foundation. Prior to joining Pratham in 2013, Devyani completed her Masters in Business Administration from the IESE Business School in Barcelona, Spain. Devyani's pre-MBA career was in advisory services focused specifically on government and other development sector clients. As part of her advisory experience, Devyani worked on Public Private Partnership projects, project management, evaluation and strategic advisory assignments in the education, health and tourism sectors.
Shailendra Kumar Sharma is Head - Operationsat Pratham and over sees all program planning and implementation. He holds a Masters in Social Work from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences and a Law Degree from Delhi University. Shailendra has been with Pratham since 2002.
