SYSTIME
- a 100% subsidiary of the CMS group- initiated a
campaign called the “Band of Hope” on November 2, 2007
to support Pratham in their skills training programme
for unemployed and underemployed rural youth.
"Band Man"
was the benefactor and mascot for the "The band of
hope campaign" by SYSTIME. SYSTIME designed a wrist
band, which was made available to SYSTIMErs at a nominal
price. The proceeds from the sale of the wrist bands
were shared with Pratham. In addition to employee
contributions the total amount raised was matched by the
company as well as the CEO, Mr Vishal Grover.
It was heartening to see many
SYSTIMErs who enthusiastically came forward to support
this noble cause and extend a helping hand towards the
deserving youth.
Many SYSTIMErs also came
forward with unique initiatives to raise donations.
Peter Cardoz from SYSTIME’s UK office sky dove on
November 25, 2007 at the Swindon Airbase, UK to raise
funds for Pratham. This was never attempted by him
earlier, a daring SYSTIMEr indeed with a passion towards
the cause for supporting Pratham.
"Jumping out of an aeroplane
with a parachute while high in the sky is not
everybody's idea of fun but if George Bush (senior) can
go skydiving on his 80th birthday then why not me for a
noble cause of charity" believes Peter Cardoz (Office
Manager) from SYSTIME UK.
SYSTIMErs consider it a
privilege to be a part of this noble cause. |
