About Pratham
Pratham was founded in 1995, to provide pre-school education to children in Mumbai slums. Over the last 25 years Pratham has grown to be one of the largest non-profit organizations working to provide quality education to children and youth in over 20 states and union territories across the country, through a range of interventions.
Pratham is a widely recognized organization, having received notable awards such as the Lui Che Woo Prize, WISE Prize for Innovation, Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship, the Henry R Kravis Prize in Leadership and the CNN-IBN Indian of the Year for Public Service. Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the development of high-quality educational content and materials suitable for learners (children aged 6-14 years learning English as an additional language) in low-resourced settings, ensuring alignment with our learning objectives and standards. This would include creating stories, worksheets, lesson plans, activities, and some multimedia resources,
• Adapt existing materials to suit the specific needs and cultural context of the learners,
• Proofread the materials for accuracy and quality assurance,
• Collaborate with Pratham teachers, trainers, and other content developers to identify and develop processes that promote engaging and learner-centric pedagogical practices in English language acquisition,
• Pilot the content and materials created to determine their effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Hindi or regional languages is a plus,
• Strong planning and organisation skills and creative aptitude,
• Strong interest in the goals of Pratham,
• Knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint.
Preferred:
• Experience with educational technology and digital learning platforms,
• Familiarity with design software such as Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator, etc.
Duration of Internship: At least 8-10 weeks

Pratham Education Foundation, Safdarjung Enclave, New Delhi (we would prefer if the intern could come and work from the office; however, if an intern demonstrates exceptionally strong skills in this domain, we may work with them remotely too).
