Pratham was founded in 1995, to provide preschool education to children in Mumbai slums. Over the last 25 years, Pratham has grown to be India’s largest NGO working to provide quality education to underprivileged youth and children in over 21 states and union territories across the country, with various interventions.

Pratham is a widely recognized organization, having received notable awards such as the Lui Che Woo Prize, the WISE Prize for Innovation, the Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship, the Henry R Kravis Prize in Leadership, and the CNN-IBN Indian of the Year for Public Service. About Pratham’s Digital Initiative:

Pratham-Shah PraDigi Innovation Center has produced over 10000+ videos, 500+ learning games and other resources in the last few years. The resources can be viewed at www.prathamopenschool.org. These resources have been deployed and monitored in many rural and urban communities. With each passing year, this repository of content – videos, games, and applications has grown to cater to the interests and engagement of children.

Translating videos into 14 regional languages and English helped us become relevant and accessible to learners in all states.

PraDigi has its own Production Unit with Translation, Graphics and Animation and Media Team. This unit fulfills digital resource production needs for PraDigi as well as requests from Pratham’s other programs.

Position Summary – Senior Associate, Production:

The Senior Associate, Production position in the PraDigi – Production Unit offers young, interested, and energetic people a unique opportunity to be an integral part of Pratham’s digital work nationwide.

Senior Production Associate will support in:

  • Planning production schedules for different teams for the development of digital resources (audio, visual and print)
  • Coordination with different project managers/ learning designers + content functions i.e. content developers, media team, design and animation team, translators and subject experts for timely delivery
  • Maintaining checks on branding and basic quality control for each resource
  • Maintaining and updating content resource repository (ies)
  • Networking/partnerships with subject experts, organizations, individuals, and vendors for effective production
  • Reports, Documentation, Analysis and Budgeting for internal and external communications

Desired Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-4 years of Production Management/
  • Project management for multiple projects with responsibilities at an organization similar to Pratham Education Foundation
  • Ability to communicate in English and Hindi or at least one other regional language.
  • Ability to build rapport with people from various academic, socio-economic, and cultural backgrounds
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic contexts and scenarios, self-motivated and proactive.
  • Strong work ethic, manage multiple tasks, and attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel regularly to rural and remote areas of India, with limited amenities.

Preferred:
Exposure to the non-profit sector through previous experience (including internships) or otherwise.
