About Pratham
Pratham was founded in 1995, to provide pre-school education to children in Mumbai slums. Over the last 25 years Pratham has grown to be one of the largest non-profit organizations working to provide quality education to children and youth in over 20 states and union territories across the country, through a range of interventions.

About Role
The Program Coordinator will support the overall implementation of a school-based learning program, focused on meeting foundational literacy and numeracy goals, running in partnership with the government of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu.
The Program Coordinator will be directly responsible for the overall execution of the program. His/her responsibilities include:

Programmatic Planning and Milestone setting: Working closely with the government stakeholders and Pratham teams to lead and support, as needed, the development of the overall programmatic plan, with clear deliverables and timelines.

Oversee Implementation: Supporting and overseeing implementation of the program. Towards this, the coordinator is expected to make regular visits to schools, provide academic support through training and school visits, take feedback and inputs from Pratham teams and government officials, and plan and take measures to strengthen programmatic quality.

Coordinate with government and Pratham teams: Liason with government and Pratham teams to keep government and Pratham teams updated on programmatic plans and developments.

Build the Pratham team: Supporting with hiring and capacity building of Pratham teams working on the project. The coordinator will also be expected to provide day-to-day mentorship and guidance to teams

Reporting and Documentation: Developing and sharing programmatic reports, as needed with government and Pratham teams.
The coordinator may also be expected to support other Pratham programs and activities occasionally.
Minimum Qualifications

Education Qualification: Graduate

Minimum of 3-4 years of working experience, preferably in the development sector

Effective communication skills. Demonstrated abilities in training and teaching are preferred.

Highly proficient in MS Office – MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.

Ability to communicate (oral and written) in Gujarati, English and Hindi. Proficiency in Marathi is preferred.

Willingness to travel and adapt to various field situations is mandatory

Experience in handling a team of at least 5-10 persons

Result-oriented, ability to take initiative and keenness to learn and improve
Reporting Structure
The Program Coordinator will report to the Pratham State Head- Gujarat.
