About Pratham-Shah PraDigi Innovation Center

Pratham-Shah PraDigi Innovation Center has produced over 10000+ videos, 500+ learning games and other resources in the last few years. The resources can be viewed at www.prathamopenschool.org. These resources have been deployed in many rural and urban communities. With each passing year, this repository of content – videos, games, and applications has grown to cater to the interests and engagement of children.

Translating videos into 14 regional languages and English helped us become relevant and accessible to learners in all states. 

Pratham has its own Production – Graphics and Animation Team. This team caters to various design and media solutions for different teams in Pratham. 

Position Summary

The Senior Graphic Designer position in the Pratham Digital Team offers interested, and energetic people a unique opportunity to be an integral part of Pratham’s digital work across the country. 

Key responsibilities:  

  • Concept development
  1. Lead brainstorming sessions and conceptualize innovative design concepts and ideas.
  2. Research and strategize design concepts and ideas based on program requirements and on-trend designs 
  • Design Execution
  1. Create visually appealing designs for a variety of mediums, including digital, print, and social media for different teams based on emerging requirements and strategies keeping in mind the context and content.
  2. Maintain consistency across all visual elements in adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Collaboration
  1. Work in collaboration with other members, both within the team as well as in
    other teams and vendors.
  2. Incorporate feedback to consistently produce on-brand deliverables at every stage of the process.
  • Project management
  1. 1. Oversee multiple design projects from conception to completion.
  2. Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  3. Coordinate with other team members, including junior designers.
  •  Quality Control
  1. Review and ensure the quality of final deliverables before they are sent to teams or published.
  2. Maintain high standards of design, ensuring that all work is polished and professional.
  • Trend Awareness and Innovation
  1. Stay updated with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies.
  2. Implement innovative design techniques to keep the visuals fresh and engaging.
  • Documentation and Reporting
  1. Maintain thorough documentation of design processes and project specifications.
  2. Report on the progress of projects and provide regular updates to management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Design, Visual Arts, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or related fields.
  • Professional Experience: 5-10 years of experience in a similar role within private sector firms, NGOs, or foundations.
  • Design Skills: Strong visualization abilities and a diverse design sense.
  • Technical Expertise: Excellent knowledge of colour theory, layouts, design fundamentals, and typography.
  • Software Proficiency: Skilled in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, CorelDraw, Canva, PowerPoint, and open to learning new software.
  • Project Experience: Proven experience in creating brochures, booklets,
    and reports.
  • Visualization Skills: Ability to conceptualize illustrations and images required for resources; the capability to create these resources is an advantage.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English and Hindi, or at least one other regional language.
  • Work Ethic: Strong commitment to meeting deadlines, managing multiple tasks, and maintaining attention to detail.

Preferred: 

  • Exposure to the non-profit sector through previous experience (including internships) or otherwise

Working Location: Pune or Mumbai

Date of Joining: Immediate

Remuneration: As per skill and expertise.

The final offer will be shared after the compensation discussion. The person will be reporting to the Lead for Graphics and Animation.
