About Pratham-Shah PraDigi Innovation Centre:

PraDigi Centre is a unit of Pratham which aims at developing technology-enabled learning solutions. And has been developing complete learning packages that can be independently implemented across diverse communities and geographies and support PraDigi Open Learning model. 

The STEM Learning Program under Pradigi Centre is a hybrid program that focuses on the development of scalable and sustainable packages and technology tools to spark curiosity and passion for STEM subjects through scientific inquiry, conceptual understanding, and their application in daily life. Our goal is to build a comprehensive program focusing on the above competencies for children that is a combination of pedagogy, technology, and human facilitation.

Job Description:

We are seeking two Senior Content Developers (STEM) to design and oversee the development of high-quality, age-appropriate learning resources and packages in Science/STEM subjects. The role ensures alignment with national/state educational frameworks and policies, and advances an inquiry-based, activity-rich, and inclusive pedagogy across formats (print, hands-on, facilitator guides, multimedia, and hybrid delivery).

The Senior Content Developer will also guide a team of content developers, uphold academic rigor and learner-centred design, and plan/lead orientations and trainings to support classroom and community implementation. The role works closely with content, production, field teams, subject experts, and partners to ensure coherence, contextual relevance, and scalability.

Research & Content Development:

  • Research, plan and Ideate scalable, cost-effective Science/STEM curriculum and resources with clear learning goals and learning progressions, suited to ages 10–15 and varied classroom/community contexts
  • Guide and mentor content developers; set quality bars, review drafts, and ensure conceptual accuracy, clarity, and age appropriateness.
  • Ensure alignment with national/state frameworks while embedding inclusivity, contextual relevance, and accessible visuals.
  • Evaluate and integrate appropriate tools, methods, and low-cost materials; curate/adapt existing OERs where relevant.
  • Plan and run pilots/field tests; incorporate learner and teacher feedback and revise the resources/packages/implementation plans.
  • Explore new pedagogical approaches, low-cost materials, and delivery models (including hybrid/tech-enabled where suitable) to improve engagement, comprehension, and transfer of learning.

Project Co-ordination/Management (for content development and dissemination)

  • Plan workstreams, timelines, and deliverables; allocate tasks across content developers and track progress and remove blockers.
  • Coordinate with production, technology, field, and partner teams to enable smooth development and deployment.
  • Liaise with relevant government departments/systems and partner institutions for permissions, pilots, and scale-up logistics.
  • Conduct capacity-building workshops/orientations for internal teams and external contributors (teachers/volunteers/parents) on effective use of resources.

Documentation & Data Gathering (for content development)

  • Record data to understand learner engagement, participation, and difficulties (notes, photos, short videos, samples of children’s work, etc.), and stories (from teachers/learners and other stakeholder) to see how the resources are used and how are they working. Also, create and use quick checklists and short observation forms for the same. 
  • Understand insights from collected data and help the team decide what to improve next.
  • Write brief reflection reports after pilots/visits and share them with the team on a regular cycle.
  • Coordinate with the Measurement team so our notes, forms, and indicators match program goals and can be compared over time. 
  • Follow child data protection and consent practices when collecting photos, videos, or learner information. 

Other: This role involves periodic travel to project sites for observation, training, and implementation support.

Required Skills

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s/master’s degree in education, Science, or related field. Specialization in curriculum, pedagogy preferred. Candidates not having relevant degrees, but the skills and experience required will also be considered as eligible candidates. 
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in field of education, curriculum design, and training/orientation in STEM and creating digital resources – Demonstrated experience in learning experience design, content development, curriculum design, or program implementation, preferably in the education sector. 
  • Strong understanding of pedagogy, child-centric learning approaches, and digital education tools with attention to details. 
  • Exposure and experience with ed-tech solutions/products is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to review and synthesize large volumes of content into coherent, structured curricula.
  • Good communication, writing, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Cultural sensitivity and experience working with diverse populations.
  • Willingness and ability to travel across India
  • Experience working with the government education systems (SCERT/DIET/NCERT/Other Gov. bodies) and teachers.

Note: Remuneration will be as per Pratham norms and based on relevant experience.
