Over the last 29 years, Pratham has grown to be India’s largest NGO working to provide quality education to underprivileged youth and children in over 21 states and union territories across the country, with a range of interventions.

About Pratham-Shah PraDigi Innovation Center

PraDigi Center has produced over 10,000+ videos and 900+ learning resources in the last few years. These resources can be viewed at www.prathamopenschool.org. These resources have been deployed and monitored in many rural and urban communities. With each passing year, this repository of content – videos, games, and applications has grown to cater to the interests and engagement of children.

Translating videos into 14 regional languages and English helped us become relevant and accessible to learners in all states. In this effort to make engaging content reach learners across India, Pratham has been actively collaborating with youth-driven start-ups, content creators, and interest groups.

Position Overview

The Senior Content Developer, English will join our dynamic PraDigi Content team to create and manage engaging, tech-enabled English content. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in technology and content development who are passionate about education and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Creation:

  • Understand the audience and take part in brainstorming sessions to create focused content and interventions.
  • Write and edit content for English programs for both online and offline learning.
  • Develop creative teaching methods and evaluation processes.
  • Design customized packages based on specific needs.
  • Write clear and engaging scripts for educational videos that meet the audience’s learning needs.
  • Create detailed storyboards to plan the video flow and ensure effective communication of ideas.
  • Supervise the filming and editing process to ensure the final product meets quality standards and educational goals.

Exploration and Curation:

  • Work with stakeholders to set video goals and create a content strategy that meets curriculum standards.
  • Research video topics to ensure they are accurate and relevant to educational goals.
  • Review existing content in the Pratham network and on external platforms, and select materials based on specific needs.

Review/Editing:

  • Review and revise video content to ensure it is error-free and meets organizational standards.
  • Collect and analyze feedback from educators and learners to improve content and future videos.
  • Review and edit individual content pieces or the entire package as needed.

Training:

  • Provide guidance and support to junior content developers and interns, creating a collaborative learning environment.
  • Design training sessions and modules for digital content and conduct in-person or offline training as needed.

Coordination:

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, graphic designers, and multimedia teams to create high-quality video content.
  • Coordinate with internal content developers and other teams to finalize resources and packages.

Monitoring, Data Collection and Analysis:

  • Monitor content pilots and help with scaling them up.
  • Analyze viewer engagement and learning outcomes to assess the impact of video content, programs and recommend improvements.
  • Examine data, identify issues, and suggest solutions with a focus on problem-solving.
  • Conduct program data analysis and evaluate content quality.

Desired qualifications and requirements:

  • Graduate/Post Graduate degree in a relevant field, with a preference for candidates with a technology background.
  • Strong writing proficiency and relevant work experience in content development.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Hindi or other regional languages is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to travel as and when required
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PPT, Word, Excel) and familiarity with digital content creation tools.

Work Locations:  Pune, Mumbai (MH, India)
