About Pratham

Pratham was founded in 1995, to provide preschool education to children in Mumbai slums. Over the last 2 decades Pratham has grown to be one of the largest non-profit organizations working to provide quality education to children and youth in over 23 states and union territories across the country, through a range of interventions.

About Program

The Second Chance program is a year-long intervention that mobilises and encourages school drop-outs, particularly girls and women, to restart their education and supports them to complete secondary schooling (equivalent to High School).

Internship Description | Content Team – Second Chance Program 

We are seeking interns to join our Content team in the Second Chance Program. As part of the internship, you will support the program team with a variety of tasks, including preliminary research, understanding the Grade 10 board syllabus, reviewing the content documentation, curating reports, and coordination with teams. The ideal candidate should have intermediate knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Office, interest in content and academic curriculum, possess grammatical accuracy in English and Hindi. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the in-house content team across subjects like math, science, language, home science, and social studies.
  • Review and proofread digital and offline content, suggesting improvements based on adult teaching and learning practices.
  • Ensure materials and resources are high-quality and relevant.
  • Analyze program data to provide insights and improve curricula.
  • Conduct research on educational trends, policies, and best practices to support program development.
  • Adapt to evolving program needs and take on new tasks as required.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for an intern fluent in English and Hindi, with strong attention to detail. They should have a passion for brainstorming ideas to improve teaching and learning. The ideal candidate can simplify complex concepts into clear and engaging content. They should be creative, organized, independent, and skilled at managing time effectively.

Required

  • Undergraduate, graduate, or postgraduate in any discipline.  
  •  Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Canva, and similar tools.  
  •  Fluent in English and Hindi with strong listening and comprehension skills.  
  •  Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.  
  •  Adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.  
  •  Passionate about driving social change through education.  
  •  Willing to learn and work across various tasks.  
  •  Knowledge of AI tools and video editing software is a bonus.  

Duration and Location

Ahmedabad, Gujarat: This will be a one-two month internship, with the possibility of extension. Interns are expected to work out of the Ahmedabad, Gujarat office with the program associates and remotely work with the Content team members.
